Nature
Binks has a lovely nature, he is the best behaved member of the family although on occasions does have a mischievous side which shows.
He grew up with Merlin (although not related) and is very close to him but also has good bonds with Indiana and Junior. Bagheera has taken a real liking to Binks and will follow him around, I think he sees him as a father figure!
Since putting Stoney in the vets, they occasionally have a head to head but never do any real harm to each other.
Binks loves playing with pieces of string and long pieces of grass. He also enjoys climbing the 30ft tree in the garden behind ours in an attempt to catch the birds.
Most Memorable Moments
In 2000, the front door was opened assuming the postman had just delivered the mail. As the door opened a sparrow, which had flown in through the letterbox, flew into the lounge. In one 7ft jump Binks caught and killed the sparrow with one swift stroke.
In April 2001, Binks went through a phase of catching butterflies and bringing them in as gifts.
In October 2004, Binks suffered a bout of severe Feline Urinary Tract Disease. Unlike Junior, Binks was very unlucky and suffered with a locked Uretha, a condition which if not detected can kill a cat in a matter of days. Fortunately, I was able to detect there was a problem very early on and after having emergency treatment and a stay in the vets he was back to his usual self. In January 2005, Binks suffered another blocked Uretha but as I detected the signs early he is once again recovering well. Feline Urinary Tract Infection can cause serious illness and it is very important that it is caught early. We are very lucky to still have him with us and are grateful to the vets and nurses who took such good care of him.
